Frequently asked questions
Do my customers need an app?
No. Any phone camera can scan the QR code and open your notice in the browser.
What happens when I change the message?
The QR code stays the same. Everyone who scans it sees the new message right away, so you never need to reprint.
What's the difference between a guest notice and an account?
Guest notices need no sign-up. They expire after up to 24 hours and you manage them with a private management code. With a free account you get permanent QR codes, longer messages and a dashboard.
I lost my management code. What can I do?
For security, management codes are stored only as a one-way hash, so we can't recover them. Guest notices expire on their own; create a new one, or sign up so this can't happen again.
How do I activate Pro?
Buy Pro on Gumroad, then paste the license key from your receipt into your dashboard. Pro features turn on immediately.
I used my.numbrate.com. Do my printed QR codes still work?
Yes. My Numbrate is now QRNotice. Permanent QR codes printed from my.numbrate.com redirect to your notice automatically. Sign in with the same account to manage it.
Is there content moderation?
Yes. Notices are public, so they're checked automatically for hate speech, harassment, threats, illegal content and payment card numbers.
