Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of QRNotice (the "Service"), a product by Numbrate. By using the Service you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

1. The Service

QRNotice lets businesses publish short public notices that customers open by scanning a QR code or visiting a link. Notices can be temporary or, for account holders, permanent.

2. Accounts and codes

• You're responsible for keeping your account credentials and guest management codes confidential. Anyone with a management code can edit or delete that notice.
• Lost management codes cannot be recovered.
• You must provide accurate information and be authorized to post notices for the business you name.

3. Acceptable use

Notices are public. You must not publish content that:

• is unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive or impersonates another business or person;
• contains hate speech, harassment, threats, sexual content or incitement to violence;
• contains payment card numbers, passwords or other sensitive personal data;
• links to malware, phishing or scams;
• infringes intellectual property or privacy rights.

Content is checked automatically and may be rejected. We may remove notices or suspend accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of your content. You grant us a limited license to host, display and process it to operate the Service. You're responsible for the accuracy of your notices.

5. Plans, payment and cancellation

• The Free plan is provided at no cost and may have usage limits.
• Pro is sold through Gumroad, which acts as the merchant. Pricing, billing, taxes, renewals and refunds are handled by Gumroad under its terms.
• One Pro license may be active on one QRNotice account at a time.
• If a subscription ends, is refunded or fails to renew, your account returns to the Free plan. Your notices stay online, but Pro features (such as branding and analytics) stop.

6. Availability and changes

We aim for high availability but don't guarantee uninterrupted service. We may change, add or remove features. For material changes to paid features we will give reasonable notice.

7. Disclaimer

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

8. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NUMBRATE IS NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE OR DATA. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM.

9. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Numbrate against claims arising from your content or your violation of these terms.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from the dashboard. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Numbrate is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing a claim, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue informally.
